Iquitos

Iquitos is a virtual island surrounded with vast green forests lands and colossal rivers that converge around it, in spite of being the biggest city of the Peruvian Amazon, there no exist roads to get it from the coast or mountain range, the only way is by plane or boat, is this isolation, part of its captivation, which allows the conservation of its natural rich, walking along its boulevard is enough to admire the wonderful Amazonian jungle and admire the elegant buildings with sight to the river and the magnificent casonas plated in blue rollers constructed during the boom of the rubber, instead of roads, we have the Amazon river the longest and mighty of the world, and as well as in the sea, it’s the only one where is possible to see the earth curvature, is possible to sail its waters in little boats and luxuries cruisers and seeing exact point where converge the powerful Marañón and Ucayali rivers to form the great Amazon river, an exactly there we found Pacaya Samiria national reserve with its lakes and dolphins, but if you want to see virgin nature, the Allpahuayo Mishana national reserve is the option, a magical and intact zone, where the late years we have discovered half dozen of new birds to science.
